Restoration & Finishes

We try to restore as sensitively as possible always remembering when working with an antique it has a history which shouldn´t be erased.

The saints in the chapel were very badly cracked and much of the paint and gold leaf had flaked off. The restoration of plaster work on frames and furniture can either be achieved by casting a rubber mould to make an exact copy of a missing section or the missing piece is carved by hand.

Amongst the many finishes we produce, Polished plaster or ‘Marmorino’ is very popular, giving an incredible stone finish which can work in most contemporary or classic settings.
